Good Morning

June 25, 2010

We’re here.

The flight from Denver was fine, a little bumpy at first.

All of our bags arrived here-the man that checked them in curb-side in Baltimore was from Grand Lake Stream, Maine. We didn’t have much time in Baltimore and I didn’t think that our bags would make it to the plane, but the good Mainer that God put in our path made sure the bags got where they needed to be. When the man found out where we were from and where we had been living he told us welcome home and was as friendly and helpful as he was our own uncle. Wow, God is good.

We were able to get a minivan instead of the SUV that they had given us, that’ll save us some money. We’ll be at our Hotel for 2 more nights and then the TLF (on-base apartment) will be available on base.

We are going to run errands today-go to the housing office, find out where we are on the O4-O5 4 bedroom housing waiting list,  check out our temporary house, find out where our household goods are and when we can be delivered to the temporary house.

I’ll update more later.

Sounds like you have a full day. Glad you finally made it there. Yeah about the van…now if only they will tell you that you are #1 on the housing list…

Yeah for reading glasses….and a little clearer reading the blog about Grand Lake Stream, Maine. I initially had a vision of a Grand Lake Stream canoe travelling along the luggage carousel!!
