Sweet time in California

May 2, 2011

We had a really good trip to California! We enjoyed the beach immensely, wading, swimming, body boarding, sand castles and beach combing. The blueness of the ocean and greenness of all the growing things was an oasis for our eyes. Once again, we were reminded what a wonderful place our country is and how blessed we are to live here. We enjoyed wonderful California oranges and strawberries, went to the Flower Fields, explored a few beaches and had some free Miso soup, yummy California rolls (sushi), huge California burritos and some delicious Thai food. We were impressed by the Marines and their practice with Amphibious vehicles-right behind our trailer! We were awakened by Marines each morning as the sang Jodies and ran or readied their vehicles for a day’s training. We were reminded of their great sacrifice for our country, how important their jobs are, and how we need to be in prayer for them and their families.

    Hi Melissa,
It looks as if you were all having a wonderful relaxing time at the beach. I hope you have another opportunity to go back and surf some more in the sun.
