Satdee (Satidee) (Satidy?) night baked bean suppah!

January 8, 2013

Well, you can take the Mainers (Main’ahs) outta Maine , but you can’t take the Maine outta Mainers (Main’ahs). This past Satdee(Satidee) (Satidy?) we had ourselves a baked bean suppah. Ayuh. I had 5 requests for this to be the traditional Satdee (Satidee)(Satidy?) night cuisine. They all LOVED it. (Thanks for the spellin’ help Papa.) Yestidy, Papa was good enough to point some or my errahs, so I’m tryin’ to mend my ways. I shouldah said……….. They all thought it was WICKED good. Yesah. Ahm tellin’ you. They were justa wailin’ it to ’em. There was nothin’ left for Sundee (Sundy?) dinnah. Nosah.

(And yes, Papa, that is sauerkraut and wine along with the beans, dogs (no red ones available), brown bread and slaw! We’re international now, we can’t help it. Oh, and don’t bring up the kittens and biscuits, ’cause I still don’t get it. Course, I’m not really a Mainer. Maybe that explains it. Next time maybe I’ll add some haggis to the menu. 😉 )
