What’s This!?
I would like to dedicate this post to my nieces and nephews, whom I miss very much. Hi guys! I love you. I have a slide show for you.
Let’s see if you can figure out what this creature is. We have quite a few of these living in our yard here. 
Can you guess? No, it is not a snake! 🙂
These critters look like snakes but they differ in several characteristics. Unlike snakes, they have moveable eyelids, scales on the belly and ability to reject the tail in the case of danger. Do you have a guess now? No? I’ll give you a clue that your parents will have to help you look up. The clue word is: Pygopodidae. 🙂 
I love you and can’t wait to give you a big hug whenever God brings us together again. I won’t have a Pygopodidae with me. I promise! 😉 xo, Auntie Melissa
